Join Mothers Who Make for our inclusive and revolutionary performance space in Exeter. Local mothers will share stand up, stories and songs for an uplifting and empowering hour. Content is adult centred but children are very welcome too. This will be both a relaxed and lively event, children will have equal status in the room. The mothers who take to the mic may have children on stage with them.

Join Lizzy Humber (Mothers Who Make) and Angie Belcher (Aftermirth Daytime Comedy Club for Parents) for Mothers on the Mic - a revolutionary performance space in Exeter with the mother of all line-ups.

Local m/others will share songs, poetry and for the first time we're adding stand up comedy to the sharings. Many of the m/others will have taken part in a 6 week course with Angie to create material for the mic. There will be an exciting headline set from mother/comedian Fiona Allen and support from mother/comedian/opera singer Delea Shand aka Madame Chandelier.

The event is adult centred with children very welcome alongside you. Some performers will have children with them too. Expect both a relaxed and lively space.

Fiona Allen is a twice Emmy winning actor and comedian who has been a mainstay of our TV screens over the past two decades. She has starred in various sketch shows, most famously the iconic "Smack the Pony”, and appears as herself on comedy shows like "Mock the Week" and "8 Out Of 10 Cats". Fiona has also appeared in television dramas such as “Skins”, "Shameless", “Waterloo Road”, "Coronation Street" and "Happiness" alongside Paul Whitehouse. Most recently she has been in that little-known soap "Eastenders".

Delea Shand is an opera singer, comedian, music teacher, and mother. She performs on the comedy and cabaret circuits as Madame Chandelier, who sings opera, tells jokes, and plays the accordion.
