A talk on the work of a small, African Street Child NGO.
Kitwe, Zambia is a gritty mining town of 600,000. The talk tells the dramatic stories the homeless children I met there, and of the unstinting work of the staff of the NGO under very difficult conditions. I followed the staff onto ill lit streets, where they attempt to gain the confidence of the children, into the shelters, where they are cared for, and brought up to speed to rejoin school, and out again to attempt to retrace whatever is left of their families.
Free to attend.
