Daylight Sessions: COMEDY with Josie Long and Harriet Dyer

  • The Hall Exeter Stepcote Hill Exeter, England, EX1 1BD United Kingdom (map)

Grown up comedy, where children are welcome too.

Do you miss out on comedy as it’s always in the evening?
Are you too knackered to have evening dates?
Do your kids have a better social life than you?

Daylight Sessions have you covered!

Join LIZZY HUMBER and ANGIE BELCHER for a daytime comedy club, designed for anyone who would enjoy a night out in the day.

We have a fantastic double bill:

JOSIE LONG is a 3-time Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominated Comedian, and very good comedian, writer and mother. Josie cares a lot about politics and social justice, and makes shows that are friendly and silly

HARRIET DYER, as seen on Live at The Apollo, Comedy Central Live, The Russell Howard Hour, Rosie Jones’s Disability Comedy Extravaganza and winner of the Channel 4 Sean Lock Award.
Harriet is a fizzy brained blancmange of whimsy.  “A must-see and a masterclass of originality“
★★★★★ Neurodiverse Review

Compered by ANGIE BELCHER, an award-winning comedian and mother (Glastonbury Festival Cabaret Tent, Aftermirth Daytime Comedy Club).

REFRESHMENTS:
The bar will be open too for a strong brew, beer or G&T, with time to meet new people or catch up with friends.

KIDS WELCOME:
Babies and children are welcome too! The material is adult centred and may be a bit rude or sweary. We find little ears tend not to notice, but it’s always your call.
You are welcome without children too, whether they are at school, fully grown, or a daytime gig might suits you better, this is open to all adults who don’t mind cute kids living their best lives. The lights will be dimmed room so no one will notice those red eyes from sleepless and the sound reduced amplification for little ears.

Please feel empowered to chest, breast, bottle or Haribo feed kids. Kids are free to play, move about. You can walk about or shake Mittens the special kitten and no one will moan or mutter if your little one heckles.
There will a baby changing stations.

Venue Access:
The Hall is accessible via a cobbled street and it on a hill. Please see here for further information: https://thehallexeter.org/accessibility

This venue has very limited space for buggies, so please bring a sling where possible, or leave time to walk with little legs from the bus or carpark.
