Clean Rooms, Low Rates is a collaboration between the photographer Brendan Barry and writer Jeff Parker.
A drop in workshop aimed at illustrating techniques of using light to aid with drawing. Alongside a camera obscura there will be an opportunity to use a camera lucida, experiencing techniques used by artists before the birth of photography.

The photocopy club have been running DIY workshops since 2012. Working with local communities, students and people of all ages they have made a simple and easy workshop that helps get images off the computer, on to the page and into print. Giving a history of zines and self publishing culture and pushing new ideas of releasing photography into the world.

Capoeira Libertacao, in association with The Hall Exeter, are running two sessions of ‘An introduction to Capoeira for Beginners’ on Saturday 28th February: the first for children under 12 (9.30 to 11am) and the second aimed at children aged 12 and including adults (11.30 to 1pm).
PechaKucha 20x20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images.

Exeter University Theatre Company presents a modern day adaptation of Euripudes' 'Hecuba' in a new version by Frank McGuinness.
A performance featuring poets from the exhibition will take place at The Hall, Exeter This will showcase work produced from our workshops alongside established poets working with themes of eco-poetry and conflict over natural resources, including readings from Allen Fisher, Maggie O’Sullivan, Harriet Tarlo and Judith Prince.
Eco-poetry is the study of the ways that poetry can address ecological issues. Open to all, this workshop run by poets Elizabeth-Jane Burnett and Camilla Nelson will explore the ideas of eco-poetry and allow participants to experiment with the theme of conflict over natural resources.

Using 9 numbers that fascinated Sir Issac Newton, Pythagoras and Elvis she explores her lineage to ‘The King’.
Ellie uses theatre, games, dancing and live music to look at how we define and measure ‘madness’.
